Dear Friends and Family,
Last fall I had a traumatic leg injury from a fall off a ladder and had to have 2 surgeries and a long recovery. I decided to turn lemons into lemonade and set a goal for me to get back walking and fit again by biking on a stationary bike everyday. And why not work at raising money for a wonderful cause while I'm at it!
I have accepted the Fitness for the Cure Challenge by participating in this heart-pumping two hour indoor cycling fundraiser for medical research on Sunday April 28th. More than 250 dedicated men and women will #SetThePace in various fitness facilities to show their commitment to fighting disease. Their goal is to raise $200,000. My goal is to raise $1,000. As of today I am at 62% of my goal with just a week to go.
TGen works to unravel the genetic components of common and complex diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, infectious disease, lyme's disease, alzheimer's disease and rare childhood disorders. By identifying treatment options in this manner, TGen believes medicine becomes more rational, more precise and more personal by looking at the individual patient's genetic makeup resulting in an improved patient response.
I would love to have 30 friends and family to donate $20, or whatever is comfortable, to help me achieve my fundraising goal for this year. You can donate securely online by clicking the donate now button on the right or clicking the link below. Donations of any amount will be gratefully appreciated and are tax-deductable. If you can't make a donation please take a moment to pray for all those who are battling a disease right now. Prayer is powerful!!!!
So Thankful I can walk again and can help so many in need.
